Enjoying The Holidays With Fuss-free refinance rates

The Holiday Season brings so much good cheer to everyone. After all it is not only the Season Of Hope and Love but it is also a time for family reunions, company parties, get-togethers and a time to swap gifts. Here in the Philippines for example, it starts as early as the month of September and lasts until around the first week of January.

However, amidst all the endless fun and celebration anyone should not set aside foremost financial responsibilities.Take the case of a home mortage loan for example. This can be easily handled with reasonable refinance rates offered by competent refinancing companies. With endless options for its clients it is sure to take away the worry-wart in you.

Like most trusted companies, FHA Streamline is considered a by-word when it comes to home refinancing as it offers prompt and genuine customer service and support among its clients. It does not only give you the chance to save more when it comes to home mortgage but assures you of reasonable and low interests. Well, how's that for a holiday breather! On the other hand, the holidays is also a great time to scout for a reasonably priced property or a quaint home. Try to check out for a list of real estate properties.
So you see, while the Christmas Season is accompanied with the much-anticipated Holiday Rush you can still enjoy it to the hilt and not have to worry about mortgage loans anymore.Happy Holidays everyone!

GT: Funny/Weird Food Names- INON-ONANG ISDA!

Here's a dish that I can say, something that I've grown up with. For one, my momma is a fishetarian, well, to a certain degree, so every day there is always a fish dish at home.

This dish is what we call INON-ONANG ISDA. It is the Cebuano/Visayan version of Paksiw na Isda. My momma usually uses tulingan/ barilison/tilapia in making this dish. I super lurve it when paired with tuyong dilis or fried "buwad bolinao"....yum,yum,yum!!!

So there guys, hope you liked my share for this week!Time to visit other GT mates!! Great day to all!!

A Rollickin' Monday to everyone!Time for another round of interesting topics here at MMOM! Here's my share for this week's topic.

1. The best part of waking up each day is KNOWING THAT I'M ALIVE AND WELL AND SO GOES WITH MY FAMILY!!

2. If I didn't know how old I am today I'd definitely be 18!wohoo!!

3. I've always loved RED APPLES!

4. I do not forgive easily but well it all depends on the level of hurt a person has caused me. I've had quarrels with loved ones but it doesn't last for a day though! But it's another thing when you're betrayed by a lover and even a friend. That's the time when it really takes a while before I can actually forgive...

5. If I could live in any home in a tv series I think it would be the classic LITTLE HOUSE ON A PRAIRIE! It would be great to experience living on an entirely different environment and country and becoming first hand witness to the daily struggles of the lead characters!

Well, that's it my friends!! Hope you enjoyed my share for this week. I'm off to visit fellow bloggers. Nice Monday To All!!!

Wait for me,CEBU!!

It is so hard when a breadwinner's job takes him to faraway places, away from the family. This has been my dilemma for quite sometime now considering that my hubby is always assigned to any branch around the country of the company that he works for. On second thought, I have come to accept the fact graciously. For one, while being away could be a deterrent, there is always a way to make up for lost bonding moments! :) One great way is of course by visiting him, thanks to airfare promos! Since my hubby is assigned in the Queen City of Cebu both of us decided that we can come visit him there at least once in a few months.

These are the places I have in mind which would surely be on the top five of my "must visit" spots in Sugbu!!

Magellan's Cross, of course, I won't miss it. For one, this is a very famous landmark and getting to visit it personally will surely take me back during the Spanish times!

Another thing worth checking out is Cebu's old and impressive churches! Just like the Paoay church of Ilocos, being able to visit these old churches will leave me amazed of our country's rich cultural heritage!

Chinese temples! But of course, not only will you get to see a panoramic view of the city but you will be able to appreciate the rich Chinese cultures thriving in this bustling city!

The beaches of Cebu! I wouldn't miss it for the world!:)Given ample budget and should I say extra financial resources, I would surely spend a whole day basking in the glory of Cebu's fine, pristine white sand beaches!!

Last but not the least, surely not to be missed would be Cebu's pasalubong centers!! Just now I am already craving for Freshco's export quality dried mango and yes, the Rosquillos!!!

Wait for me're just a few sleeps away!!!

GT: Orangey!!!

Hi again, ladies! I love the orange hue because it seems to have a positive effect on my moods!:) Here are just some of the orangey stuff that I have now.

That's Avon's heaven scent summer bliss cologne! I love the smell because it bespeaks youthfulness and vibrance for life! This is what I love to put on my kids, too, so they smell fresh and clean all day.

That's the Avon Naturals Papaya body lotion! Another orangey stuff I have at this time. Been using this product for a few years already and I love its light, non-greasy feel on my skin. I usually apply it during nighttime just before going to slumber land.

So,that's it my friends!Would love to read about your orangey stuff, too, so off I go now to do my blog-hopping....HAPPY GT!!!!

The Abominable Blackhead!!

Hey ladies! So nice to be back here on GT! Went on idle mode for awhile but hopefully am now back to regular blogging. This week's topic is about something BLACK that we own. I decided to feature not an object,a gadget or a material thing for that matter. What I want to share is...tadaaa!!....the abominable blackhead!!

A blackhead according to Wikipedia is medically called an open comedo and a blackish bump in the skin which is usually a result of excess oils that accumulate in the sebaceous glands' duct. This explains why I am always plagued with it, I am cursed with oily skin! While blackheads contain keratin and sebum it owes its blackish hue to clogged hair follicles, where it usually occur, that reflect light. When extracted it is usually yellow-brown due to the melanin content.

It's not something I own actually, but something that seems so innate to me I am almost convinced by now that it grows with me!(huh?!) It's not something that I welcome with open arms, no mam! In fact, every single day I am in constant search of the right formula to get rid of it, forever!! Suffice to say, this is an SOS call and any suggestions how to get rid of it would be greatly appreciated! As for now, this is my share for this week's topic. So long, time to visit fellow GT mates!

The Junior MasterChef Pinoy Edition (And Why I Am So Amazed With It!)

I am a self-confessed disaster in the kitchen and that I am guilty of! But watching the Junior Master Chef Pinoy Edition last Saturday really got me into the groove, so to say! hehe! Truth is, this is one reality show that sort of shook me out my senses, telling me, if these kids can do it, then surely I can, too!

Sincerely, I think this is one innovative show that should inspire Pinoy kids (and adults alike!)to show what they've got in the kitchen and to whip up no-nonsense recipes! I admit it's not that easy especially for someone like me who'd rather write, sing and do hip hop abs than COOK!! arghh! But with this newfound inspiration triggered by this very wonderful show (kudos to Judy Ann Santos, she's doing justice with her hosting stint and has great chemistry with the 3 chefs) I vow to do something with my cooking hang-ups hehehe!

Gray Hair: Some Important Facts

I was combing my hair this morning when lo and behold I noticed streaks of gray hair amidst my usual black crowning glory! Panic started to set in and I can't help but shake my head, geez, I am THAT old already? And yet, why is it I am still in self-denial? I tried to remove it but while I did succeed in pulling out 2 strands I discovered that small, gray strands were still tucked in safe amongst the black strands. Sigh! I have to simply accept the fact that I am pushing 40 and graying!!

Studies show that gray hair is of course normal as we age and that it is but natural to have gray hair when we are about to reach the age of 40. As they say it is a sign of wisdom! (to this, I still have to convince myself!lol!) Heredity also play an important role in graying hair which means to say that if your parents had gray hair earlier on there is a great chance that you will also experience the pattern. Why do our hair turns gray? It is because of the absence of hair color pigments called melanocytes/melanin which decline as we age. While our hair continues to grow it does not contain melanin anymore therefore resulting in gray hair.

I found out that there are a number of reasons why hair becomes gray prematurely and this includes: a) when you're deficient in Vitamin B12, b) when you have thyroid problems or disorder, c) vitiligo (a condition where one loses the ability to produce melanocytes resulting to white patches of skin and premature graying of hair), d) early menopause and yes, smoking! (to the latter two reasons I am sure I am not guilty of!)

Yeah right, so if every gray hair tells a story then I can vouch to high heavens that mine is a merry mix of teledrama, comedy and tragedy! whew! But who's complaining?! Ops, a bit of trivia guys, DID YOU KNOW THAT GRAY HAIR IS NOT ACTUALLY GRAY? HAIR STRANDS ARE ACTUALLY TRANSPARENT! I just learned about it lately, thanks to Mr. Google and the blogosphere!

Care to share your own experience? I'd love to hear your side, guys! Oh and watch out for my future posts on wrinkle alert!! Ciao!!

GT: Most Memorable HS Moment!!

Hi dearies! I missed last week's topic and for a very silly reason, I don't have a single class picture tucked away in my mahiwagang baul! (ouch!) Or maybe I did have one or two pics but completely forgot where I hid it! So now I'm back and itching to share my most memorable HS moment.Care to know? Here is my tell-all tale...

The moments that will forever hold special memories for me would be our HS Intramurals! Nope, it wasn't the sports events and the cheering competitions that I relish but the Love Knots Booth and the Marriage Booth!(Wahhh!)where one gets to be "captured" and then your hands get tied with a guy. Why this is memorable for me is obvious, it gives me the chance to be literally near my super crush for that particular year(or month!hehe!). Yet life is just unfair for me because the guys paired to me were not my type and Mr. Crush would always end up "fully booked" with the rest of the gals!(grrr!).So sad and depressing for a girl like me but then again so truly memorable. Every time I look back and reminisce HS LIFE, it would always lead me to these Intrams moments!

So that's it my dearies, hope I shared something worthwhile in here. Hope you didn't find it so boring! hehehe! Okay I'm off to visit other ka-gt now! Enjoy the rest of the week, HAPPY GT TO ALL!

GT: Math Hater

DIZ IZ IT!nyehehe! The most hated school subject, the curse! I remember how I would hide under my desk when I was in Grade 2 everytime our teacher starts to point her fingers at us during the multiplication table memorization! I would be literally crawling on the floor, at para di dyahi, would pick up pieces of paper and other kalat under the chairs! (ala janitress) weeeh!

Then came high school, the curse heightened all the more! Trigonometry, Geometry, Physics!! Whew, I can't make out any sense why they made us go through all that misery! Algebra was kinda fun though, and yes, Bookkeeping, I got exempted in the final exams, weeeh!! (again! hehe)

College was way more tolerable, I can at last avoid Math subjects save for about General Algebra and Statistics, that's that! The secret? I chose the course Communication Arts and when I reached 3rd year it was literally a Math-free world for me!! So that's it my friends! Hope you enjoyed my share. I'm off to visit other fellow bloggers. Happy GT to all!

GT: Favorite Subject!!

Hi there to my fellow ka-GT! I was absent in here last week but here I am again and excited as always to post my share on this week's topic. So, here it is:

Elementary: My favorite subject is English and of course, Music! This was the time when we were exposed to various regional songs and taught to read musical notes, etc, etc.

HighSchool: It would be English and Literature! Although I have to include Religion (it's CCP in the Catholic school I went to)and yap, Population Education(hehehe). I remember getting a Best in CCP everytime we have our recognition rites.

College: It would still be any English related subject and Arts/Film Appreciation. I especially loved it when we are made to chose a particular film of any genre and make a critique on it. I was also especially fond of our major subjects such as Radio and Video Production.

So that's it folks! How bout u? Would love to read about your fave subjects, too! I'm off to visit fellow-GT folks now!! Take care always, peepz!!

Meet Me On Monday!!

Nice Monday morning to everyone! I missed out on MMOM for a few weeks already but now I am back and ready to rumble!lol!

And the questions for this week are:
1. Crunchy or smooth peanut butter?
2. What is your favorite color Rose?
3. Do you remove your shoes when you walk into your home?
4. What is your favorite season?
5. Approximately how many hours a day do you spend blogging?

1. Crunchy or smooth peanut butter?

For me it's definitely smooth peanut butter! It really goes well with my fave white bread, Gardenia! yummy!

2. What is your favorite color Rose?

That would be the color peach and pink! Wait, it's red! Oh, geez! I think my favorite color would be...all of the colors!! :)

3. Do you remove your shoes when you walk into your home?

Yes, I sure do! And so with the rest of the family. It really gets so dirty if shoes won't be removed as it can also bring in all sorts of bacteria and other uninvited guests!lol!

4. What is your favorite season?

We only have 2 seasons here in the Philippines, wet/rainy and dry/summer so I guess I would have to say summer! Kids are at home since school is out and I can catch up with other chores plus the family can have some bonding time at the beach! But if I were to stay in the US or Europe I would have to pick spring, too! Coz it's a lovely time to see flowers abloom!!

5. Approximately how many hours a day do you spend blogging?

I think it's about 6-8 hours since I also have part-time work as online writer/re-writer!

That's it my friends, hope I shared something refreshing in here, lol! I'm off to visit fellow MMOM participants and check out their list, too! Have a great day to all!!

Nice Thursday morning to all! It's still summer but rain now come in torrents here at our end. Well, blame it on Typhoon Bebeng, but as of today it's back to good ole summer glory with lots of sunshine!

While gallivanting around every summer with friends and relatives I prefer to be always low-key when it comes to outfit. In fact, I feel that I am such a plain Jane I really don't know what to do anymore, lol! My fave summer outfit is so simple: a t-shirt, some ukay-ukay skinny jeans and a comfy pair of flip-flops! To complete it I don my fave pair of sunglasses.

This photo above of me and my 2 cousins was taken last year when we visited Mt. Samat in Bataan. That's me on the right side, in pink shirt! As you can see, the get-up is so totally simple, so ewan! hehe! But it's where I am most comfortable and where I'm happiest at! lol!

Well, that's it folks, hope you liked my share for this week.I'm off to visit my fellow ka-GT and read about their entries, too!! Happy GT everyone!!
